Helen PhamHelen Pham has always had a general interest in science. At Watertown High School she immersed herself in many science courses including biology, anatomy & physiology, physics and chemistry. Out of all the courses she took, chemistry had influenced her the most, applying to Northeastern as a chemistry major with an interest in the Pre-Med track. |
GSK’s Waltham site is part of the Platform Technology and Science division, which supports many functions of drug discovery across different therapeutic areas. In Waltham, our scientists search for new drug leads using GSK’s proprietary Encoded Library Technology (ELT), a recent innovation that was developed at this site. ELT enables the rapid, low cost screening of disease targets by “libraries” of DNA-encoded, druglike molecules, using the tools of biotechnology to solve the “needle in a haystack” problem of drug discovery.
